I learned the hard way not to try to use a Dremel to cut out large areas of steel - it takes forever! You will get things done far quicker with an angle grinder, take it from me. I cut the appropriate size plexi using a jigsaw, and then cut a fan hole in the middle using a holesaw.

I used rivets to layer the laser-cut panel on top of the acrylic on top of the steel.

Out comes the Autosol for a glorious rubbed-down gleaming finish.

Once again, I used an angle grinder to engrave the side with a logo I designed.
